Sources of heparin include the following (table 2):

●Unfractionated heparin

●LMW heparins (eg, enoxaparin, dalteparin, nadroparin, tinzaparin)

●Heparin flushes (eg, for arterial lines or heparin locks)

●Heparin-bonded catheters

●Heparin-containing medications (eg, some forms of prothrombin complex concentrates [PCCs])

●Some hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) products

●Some formulations of intravenous medications

●Some total parenteral nutrition preparations
